Say Cheese!
Our moon has been a subject of considerable intellectual interest and emotional investment in my life, for it has inspired a multitude of incoherent musings and circuitous trains of thought. Every time I glance up at this celestial orb, I am lost in its vastness... And, sometimes, in its smallness. On a clear night (as pictured above), its solitary presence brings connotations of an unreachable behemoth, placed above me to remind me of my irrelevance in this grand operation. But, nestled between the winter clouds, it takes on the form of an Earthly comfort, strolling past in hopes of bringing about a smile on my face. Although the lack of sharpness in the images is a result of my budgetary and technological constraints, I do enjoy that the wandering snapshots I managed to capture appear out of focus: I'd like to think it reflects my unfocused, shifting view of this pretty cool hunk of rock. And, I am comforted in the knowledge that I'll get to keep updating my views every time I happen to glance up at it again...
