I See You In The Flowers
I See You In The Flowers
I see you in the flowers –
when green antennae sway to-and-fro,
and in a crimson blur –
pale imitation of blood-flow.
And you smiled with your
eyes,
Black Holes in every respect –
I spent hours in conversation there.
I guess you’ve completed
your cycle of Hawking radiation.
The pith of the Hibiscus –
dark halo around the pistil,
returns flashes of that grayscale smile,
as though you don’t lay still.
What about white roses?
Reminders in the lyrics I
hear –
I wore one for you,
“What do you think?” I couldn’t ask,
You aren’t here.
But I hear you call me a
liar –
in present tense,
I didn’t see you sitting next to me,
I had to close my eyes–
You’ve made me a crier.
I see you in the flowers –
now, the others too,
and when more leave for the by-and-by,
I’ll sow seeds for each of you.
