Beholder
Beholder
Poised ‘sides me in
irregular
arrangement – leg looping
around
delicate arms – sculptor’s
abstraction –
dare not be irked. Watch
as she
works her magik hues unto
canvases ‘pon calloused
hands.
Stare unbroken – drowned
in glitter
and resin – imbues her quirks
‘pon my medium. Queer
feelin’
being the fruit of
artistry – Now,
I am become where beauty
lurks.
And with fingers twixt
mine
invite the rest over.
Mothers and nephews and
sisters and sons –
We call thee, comely.
Bring thy loved ones.
Journey’s worth the hard
knocks travel –
For ‘tis a greying world ‘til
the Beholder comes.
